Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Days | 12-Hour Shifts (0630–1830) | Nights available (1830–0630) | Onsite | Every other weekend required (Saturday & Sunday) | Minimum of 2 holidays within contract period

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a 33-bed ICU setting with an average daily census of 16, managing a 1:2–3 nurse-to-patient ratio for adult patients
• Care for patients with complex diagnoses including trauma, cardiac conditions, stroke, sepsis, renal failure, respiratory distress, overdose/substance abuse, post-stent, pacemaker placement, vascular cases, and heart failure
• Titrate drips including cardiac drips, insulin, and sedation medications
• Read, interpret, and document cardiac monitor strips using GE monitoring equipment, with tele tech oversight support
• Manage patients on respiratory support equipment ranging from nasal cannula to mechanical ventilation, including CPAP, BiPAP, and high-flow oxygen
• Float as needed, typically to PCU and occasionally to MedSurg, maintaining the standard patient ratios assigned on those units (1:4 or 1:5)

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
• Valid driver's license required at time of submittal
• Must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
• Candidates may not currently hold a full-time, part-time, or PRN position with any facility associated with the client health system
• Artificial nails are prohibited in all patient care departments; compliance is required as a condition of the contract

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior ICU experience with high-acuity adult patient populations
• Experience titrating cardiac, insulin, and sedation drips in a critical care environment
• Familiarity with GE cardiac monitoring systems and tele strip interpretation
• Experience with the full spectrum of respiratory support, including mechanical ventilation
