Update********* The position does not require the associate to have prior pharmacy experience. We are looking for applicants with previous roles such as picking or quality that would be able to meet the requirements to successfully obtain a Indiana pharmacy tech in training license - including having a highschool diploma or equivalent. 2nd Shift - Pay: $18.23/hr. + $1.00 shift Differential Monday 1pm-11:30pm Tuesday - Friday 2pm-11pm Saturday 12pm-8:30pm Work location & type (Onsite / Hybrid / Remote) : Onsite Required vs. preferred skills : Before submitting a candidate, please ensure the candidate meets the following criteria (Candidates who do not meet the specifications listed below will not be considered: The candidate should live within a reasonable driving distance of Jeffersonville, IN. Candidate must be willing to get a National Pharmacy License (CPhT) This role is Onsite only. Must be able to walk and stand throughout the entire shift. ? Basic math, reading and writing skills required. Job Responsibilities We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician in Training to join our team at McKesson. As a Pharmacy Technician in Training, you will play a crucial role in assisting our licensed pharmacists in providing high-quality pharmaceutical care to our patients. You will work in a fast-paced and customer-focused environment, ensuring the safe and efficient dispensing of medications while adhering to all relevant laws and regulations. 1. Medication Dispensing: Prepare and label prescription medications for dispensing. Measure, count, and package medications according to prescription orders. Replenish medication in automated cells to full capacity; opening large quantities of bottles and cases of product. Ensure the proper labeling and instructions for patient use on medication containers. Maintain an organized and clean dispensing area. 2. Inventory Management: Conduct regular stock rotation to prevent expiration of medications. 3. Compliance and Regulations: Adhere to all federal, state, and local pharmacy laws and regulations. Maintain patient confidentiality and HIPAA compliance at all times. Assist in record-keeping and documentation of prescription and medication-related information. Minimum Qualifications ?
