Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Operating Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 10 hours Experience: 1+ years License: Current RN License Certifications: BLS (AHA) Must-Have: - Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing - Current RN License - BLS Certification - 1+ years of RN experience Description: Performs independent nursing functions and delegated medical functions in accordance with accepted practice standards as defined by the state Board of Nursing. Assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates nursing care. Evaluates health status through the ongoing collection and assessment of health data. Provides health teaching and health counseling. Delivers therapy and treatment that supports and restores life and well-being, either directly to the patient or indirectly through consultation, delegation, supervision, or teaching others. Executes delegated medical functions. Refers patients as needed for further evaluation or treatment. Reviews and monitors therapy and treatment plans. Documents in accordance with hospital and regulatory guidelines. Utilizes resources as needed. Promotes the mission, vision, and values of the organization and abides by service behavior standards. Performs other duties as assigned. May be required to float to other departments based on business need. May be required to be placed on-call during a regularly scheduled shift. Required Skills and Experience: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Preferred Education: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing is preferred. Required Certifications and Licensure: Current license as a Registered Nurse in the state of practice is required. BLS - American Heart Association. ACLS/NRP/PALS as appropriate for unit or service. Preferred Certifications and Licensure: Certification as appropriate for unit or service is preferred.
