FinTech Database Systems DesignerThis position is to work in the FinTech area of Client. Our division provides electronic payments and banking solutions in SaaS using AI/Client to determine risk. This position will be focusing on designing new database systems, optimizing current systems and performance tuning for high throughput.RequirementsBS Degree in Computer Science or related fields6+ years of experience in performance tuning of large-scale Postgres database systemsAdvanced practical knowledge in database monitoring, diagnosing and tuning for high performanceThorough understanding of the architecture of PostgresDemonstrated knowledge in designing and managing high availability environments.Deep understanding of SQL query execution, execution plan analysis & optimization and index tuning strategiesAdvanced knowledge of PL/pgSQL, triggers and writing advanced scriptsWork closely with the development teams to guide in writing best sql queries and recommend best practicesShell scripting skills for proactive monitoring to diagnose potential problems before they become production issues
