Clinical Professor - Director of Environmental Law & Policy Clinic

Location: Boston, MA Position Type: Full time We seek candidates with strong academic records and a commitmentto excellence in clinical teaching and scholarship. Priorexperience in clinical education is preferred. At least five yearsof environmental law experience is required. Experience withlegislative advocacy and/or environmental policy is stronglypreferred. Applicants must be admitted or eligible for admission tothe Massachusetts Bar within six months of beginning theposition. The ELPC is a full-year clinic offered for 10 credits (2 creditsof seminar and 3 credits of casework per semester) serving studentsin their last 2 years of law school. Students enrolled in the ELPCwork on a variety of local, state, and/or federal environmental,energy, and land use legal matters raising today’s most pressingissues. The clinic represents and advises non-profits, citizengroups, and governmental agencies in environmental legal andregulatory matters. Students also provide litigation support,analysis and education on various environmental legislative andregulatory initiatives. A substantial focus of the ELPC’s work ison supporting underserved communities and advocating on mattersconcerning land conservation, sand mining, and water resourceprotection in southeastern Massachusetts. The ideal candidate will be a self-motivated individual who canhelp shape the Clinic docket and enrich the program by developingrelationships within the legal community, the communities served,the University, the legal academy, and the Bar. The salary range for this role is $120,000 - $140,000. The actual salary offered to theselected candidate will depend on various factors, including, butnot limited to, the position’s scope and responsibilities, thecandidate’s experience, education, training, and applicable legalrequirements.
