About the Job Your Role

The purpose of this job is to provide support to the Pharmacy Special Programs Manager and work with the Pharmacy Special Programs Specialist to ensure seamless operation of the program's various projects. This will be accomplished by establishing methods to ensure accurate pharmaceutical purchasing, record keeping, auditing invoices, tracking split billing accumulations, and communicating with team members and stakeholders about statistics and routine reports.

This position is represented by American Federation of State, County, and Municipal Employees (AFSCME). This position may be eligible for Police & Fire (P&F) benefits through Public Employees Retirement System (PERS), as defined by statute.

Minimum Qualifications

Two years of clerical-support experience in a related field such as general business, accounting, contracts, purchasing, or project administration support.

OR

Associates degree or higher will substitute for the experience.

OR

A one-year certificate in supply chain, logistics management, procurement, or a related field will substitute for one year of experience.

Preference will be given to those with pharmacy experience.

A current A.C.E. 340B certification is required for this position. Preference will be given to those with a current A.C.E. 340B certification. If you do not have this certification, you will be required to obtain this within 6 months of hire.

Working Conditions

The position may require occasional in-state travel, including overnight stays, for meetings or stakeholder engagement. Presentations to internal groups may also be required, so as to provide training and direction on appropriate acquisition, storage and communication of pharmaceuticals acquired by the agency. This position has occasional contact with AICs in the institutional setting. Sitting or standing for long periods of time may be necessary.

The salary range listed above is for non-PERS qualifying applicants. PERS qualifying applicants may be eligible for an adjusted range to reflect an additional 6.95%.

About the Process What to Expect

Requirements for Employment

The successful candidate for this position must pass a Criminal Justice Information Systems (CJIS) fingerprint-based background check and maintain CJIS eligibility. Due to CJIS requirements related to system access, there may be some felony convictions that could disqualify you for this position. However, having a felony record does not exclusively restrict you from being considered as an applicant. CJIS clearance is done at the conditional job offer.
