Flight Paramedic

Role Overview The Flight Paramedic is responsible for providing advanced life support care during air transportation of patients, including scene call work and transfers to medical facilities. They ensure safety, effective patient care, and thorough documentation, including electronic patient records and daily checks such as narcotic counts. The role involves participating in pre-flight and post-flight briefings, assisting with aircraft safety, and supporting crew and pilot activities as needed. Key Responsibilities Complete and submit electronic patient care records promptly Perform daily base checks, including narcotic counts Provide pre-hospital and intra-hospital advanced life support care from initial contact to transfer Maintain competency through ongoing training and certifications Ensure all licensure, certifications, and safety procedures are up-to-date Operate and maintain emergency equipment and supplies Foster positive relationships with colleagues, EMS, hospitals, and the public Participate in pre-mission planning and safety briefings Assist with aircraft safety checks and pilot support activities Fill open shifts as required by the Regional Director Qualifications & Skills Minimum of 3 years’ experience in 911 or critical care settings Current EMT-P license/certification in relevant states Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP, trauma; advanced certification (FP-C) preferred Instructor certifications in relevant areas are a plus NREMT-P certification may be required in some areas Note: The role emphasizes safety, professionalism, and teamwork to ensure high-quality patient care during air transport. #J-18808-Ljbffr Vetted Solutions
