Location Address: 701 Dellwood St S Cambridge, MN 55008-1920 Job Summary Bring your expertise in sleep medicine to our team by delivering comprehensive evaluation and treatment of sleep disorders. In this role, you will play a vital part in assessing, diagnosing, treating, and educating patients with suspected sleep conditions under the guidance of a physician—helping patients achieve better sleep and improved overall health. Key Position Details 0.6 FTE (48 hours per two-week pay period) 12-hour evening/night shifts (Tuesday and Wednesday 7:30pm-8:00am) No weekends Optional floating available Job Description Conducts the comprehensive evaluation and treatment of sleep disorders in patients. Responsible for assessments, diagnosis, treatments and education of patients with suspected sleep disorders under the direction of a physician. Principal Responsibilities Polysomnographic testing, scoring and follow up: applies electrodes, monitors accordingly, ensures artifact free recordings and documents values for any clinical event during testing. Implements and titrates appropriate therapy per lab protocol. Scores Polysomnograms, downloads/stores data and generates reports prior to follow up appointment. Patient education and record management: educates patient on sleep disorders, testing procedures and operation of sleep disorder devices; verifies medical order/protocol, completes all technical paperwork; complete appropriate paperwork and billing procedures. Other duties as assigned. Preferred Qualifications Vocational or Technical Training in a polysomnography program with a state licensed and/or nationally accredited educational facility, or equivalent experience with documented proficiency in all required competencies of a Polysomnographic Technologist. 0 to 2 years polysomnography experience. Strong knowledge of Positive Airway Pressure (PAP) devices. 0 to 2 years able to assess patients, apply critical thinking and determine appropriate interventions. Licenses / Certifications BLS Tier 1 – Basic Life Support – Multisource required upon hire. Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) – Board Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (BPRT) or credentialed with Sleep Disorders Specialty from the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC) upon hire required. Current license in allied health profession if applicable preferred. Physical Demands Light Work: Lifting weight up to 20 lbs. occasionally, up to 10 lbs. frequently. Pay Range $32.92 to $45.12 per hour. The pay described reflects the base hiring pay range. Your starting rate would depend on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, your experience, education, and the union agreement (if applicable). Shift, weekend and/or other differentials may be available to increase your pay rate for certain shifts or work.
