Assistant Project ManagerAssistant Project ManagerThe Assistant Project Manager will collaborate with the Project Manager or other team members to assist with the planning, organization, and management of the day-to-day operations of commercial construction projects.ResponsibilitiesWork directly with Project Manager and Preconstruction Teams to understand size and scope of projects along with timelines and applicable project deadlinesAssist Superintendent in maintaining construction scheduleAdjust plan as necessary based on field conditions and progressInteract effectively with subcontractors to clearly define work scopes, ensure all work items are being addressedActing as direct liaison between Project Manager, superintendent, subcontractors, and vendorsRead and understand job bid instructions, detailed specifications, prepare a "take off" of materials included in the job, estimate all necessary labor, materials, buyout items, equipment costs to prepare an estimateAssess opportunities and risks through plan reviews and site visitsAssisting Project Manager with bid preparation, review, and submission for Federal, State, County and private jobsAssist in development of project schedulePromote a safe work environmentQualificationsBachelor of Science in Civil Engineering discipline or Construction Management preferredPrevious experience in a project management role is a plusAbility to read and interpret shop and design blueprint drawingsProficient with Microsoft Office softwareDemonstrated ability to promote a safe work environmentExcellent team and communication skillsProblem solving and ability to adjust to changing circumstancesWillingness to travelThis is a full-time, benefits eligible position.
