Central Lab Technician

Job Description The Corporate Laboratory Technician is an entry-level position. Once trained, you willbe responsible forexecuting tests tomonitorquality of products throughout the Company per established methods and lab practices, in a professional manner following all health and safety rules. Execute testing per lab procedures and policies manual Use the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS),workbooksorCertificate ofAnalysis to log in samples and record test results. Assistin coordination and execution of routine and project sample testing. Report off-quality findings to Lab Manager. Maintain,operateand validate instrumentation with a thorough knowledge of functionality of equipment. Follow directions and Standard Operating Procedures accurately. Communicate special testing/sample needs to other divisions within the company. Fulfill customer proposal requests. Knowledgeable of company products and specifications; knowledge of office functions, UPS procedures, sample logs, result archiving and retrieval and ordering lab supplies. Other duties as assigned Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or GED. Must have successfully completed some college-level coursework in science and math. Demonstrated working knowledge of and experience using Microsoft Word, Outlook & Excel. Preferred Qualifications Prior laboratory experience. Prior LIMS experience. A demonstrated ability to focus on and manage detailed methodologies in a multitasking environment. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Working Conditions and Physical Demands Occasionally exposed to high noise levels, strong odors, varying temperatures, and biohazardous conditions. Requires prolonged sitting and movement throughout office/work locations, as well as occasional use of computers and office equipment. Must frequently stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and climb or balance. Must be able to communicate effectively and identify potential workplace hazards. Requires the ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 25lbs.
