The Peoria County Regional Office of Education #48 is seeking a dedicated and relationship-driven Student Support Specialist (SSS) to join our Alternative Learning Opportunities Program (ALOP) team! ALOP provides individualized, Tier 2 support to students who may be struggling with attendance, academics, behavior, or social-emotional needs. Our goal is simple: build relationships, remove barriers, and help students succeed in school and beyond.
As a Student Support Specialist, you will:
• Build meaningful, positive relationships with students and families
• Provide individualized support for attendance, academics, and behavior
• Help students develop social-emotional and life skills
• Connect students and families with school and community resources
• Conduct family outreach and home visits when appropriate
• Collaborate with teachers, counselors, administrators, and other school staff
• Track student progress and celebrate successes—big and small
• Be a consistent, trusted adult students can count on
$15.91 - $25.77 per hour
