Work With Purpose at UCUT: Protecting Land, Water, Wildlife, and Culture for Future Generations. The Water Quality Specialist supports the Kootenai Tribe of Idaho Fish and Wildlife Department in monitoring and restoring the Tribe’s water resources to sustain fish and wildlife for cultural uses. This position performs field and laboratory work related to tributary and large river nutrient enhancement, assists in the implementation of nutrient addition projects, and provides technical assistance to inform water quality and habitat restoration. This position works closely with tribal, local, state, and federal partners to ensure compliance with environmental regulations and the Tribe’s goals for healthy watersheds.
