Contract | 13-Week Travel Assignment | Days, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM | Expected 36 hours/week | 2 weekends/month required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to immediate post-operative cardiac surgery patients in a 16-bed CVICU with patient ratios of 1:2, or 1:1 for select device patients
• Manage and monitor patients on advanced cardiac devices including ECMO, Centrimags, IABP, Impella, and HM3 LVADs
• Perform and assist with procedures including central line insertion, Swan-Ganz catheter insertion, and intubations
• Utilize PA catheters and hemodynamic monitoring equipment; experience with CRRT preferred
• Document patient care using the Meditech electronic documentation system
• Float as needed, typically to other ICUs, in accordance with unit floating policy

• Active RN license valid for the state of Tennessee (or compact eligibility)
• Minimum 2 years of experience in critical care, with specific CVICU experience required
• ACLS certification required
• BLS certification required
• Proficiency with PA catheter management and hemodynamic monitoring

• Experience with IABP and Impella devices
• Experience with CRRT (Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy)
• Familiarity with Meditech documentation system
• Experience with Phillips bedside telemetry monitors and Alaris IV pumps
