Supply Chain Specialist

Metamagnetics Inc. is seeking a motivated, detail-oriented, and highly dependable Supply Chain Specialist to join our growing team in Marlborough, Massachusetts. This is a full-time, on-site position responsible for supporting purchasing, supplier coordination, shipping and receiving, inventory management, and facility operations. The ideal candidate is organized, adaptable, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment supporting aerospace and defense customers. Key Responsibilities Source and procure goods and services in accordance with company policies and operational requirements. Obtain and evaluate supplier quotations and negotiate pricing, lead times, and standard terms and conditions. Monitor and expedite supplier deliveries to support production schedules and operational needs. Maintain accurate procurement records, supplier documentation, and pricing histories. Build and maintain effective working relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders. Shipping, Receiving & Inventory Control Receive incoming materials and verify shipments against purchase orders and packing slips. Process outbound shipments, including customer products, returns, and internal materials. Maintain inventory accuracy through cycle counts, inventory tracking, and stockroom organization. Support material handling and warehouse organization to ensure efficient operations. Coordinate with internal departments to maintain material availability and support production flow. Facilities & Operational Support Coordinate routine facility maintenance, inspections, repairs, and vendor service activities. Maintain facility supplies and operational inventories. Support facility access control and overall site organization. Coordinate hazardous waste shipments and assist with environmental, health, and safety initiatives. Qualifications One to three years of experience in purchasing, supply chain, logistics, warehouse operations, inventory control, facilities support, or a related field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience in a manufacturing and/or government contracting environment preferred. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and QuickBooks. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage changing priorities. Reliable, self-motivated, and team-oriented. Ability to lift up to 40 pounds. U.S. Person or U.S. Citizenship required.
