The Environmental Project Scientist/Engineer/Geologist is responsible for supporting the Environmental department in all services including Phase I/II ESAs, asbestos surveys, lead-based paint surveys, indoor air quality assessments, UST/LUST assessments, site remediation, soil and groundwater sampling, wetland surveys, and/or field observation documentation. This person will complete fieldwork as well as work on technical reports and proposals. This position could travel 25% of the time depending on project load/location. Shift/Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00AM-5:00PM (may vary) The salary range for this position is $70,000to $95,000. Individual compensation packages are based on a variety of factors unique to each candidate including skill set, experience, qualifications and other job-related reasons. What you’ll do: Support the department on all environmental services including Phase I/II ESAs, asbestos surveys, lead-based paint surveys, indoor air quality assessments, UST/LUST assessments, site remediation, soil and groundwater sampling, wetland surveys, and/or field observation documentation. Assist in the development of work scope, report preparation, client and subcontractor coordination, and assessment of proper response actions. Manage and perform Environmental Site Assessments following the applicable ASTM Standards. Participate in the installation of soil borings, monitoring wells, remediation activities, waste management and disposal, and other field requirements using standard operating procedures (SOPs). Author technical reports and proposals. Provide support planning, monitoring, and controlling project budgets and building solid relationships with clients and team members. Minimum Requirements & Qualifications: BS in Environmental Science, Engineering, Geology, or related field 8+ years of proven technical environmental consulting experience Project management/coordination experience Soil/Groundwater/Vapor sampling, data evaluation, and report preparation Experience managing field teams and drillers Experience managing projects under regulatory programs like VCUP, OPS, etc. Client communications/management experience Must be detail-oriented, and a team player with excellent communication, analytical, and organization, as well as time and budget management skills Must be computer literate and able to operate most field/office equipment relating to one’s discipline Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook Valid Driver's License and reliable driving recordrequired Ability to travel up to 25% of the time Preferred Qualifications: P.E. / P.G. or ability to obtain within one year Experience with Vapor Intrusion Mitigation System Design OPS Colorado Recognized Environmental Professional (CO-REP) Colorado Asbestos Building Inspector (CABI) Experience with SWPPP/SPCC plans/inspections Intertek: Total Quality.
