Cloud Developer

Senior Cloud DeveloperWe are seeking a Senior Cloud Developer to join a modernization team. In this role, you will be instrumental in re-architecting legacy applications into AWS-native solutions, building APIs, and developing AWS Lambda functions. This position involves acting as a technical lead and mentor for junior developers within a 6-8 person team.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop, deploy, and support Python applications in a production environment.Develop, deploy, and support Terraform scripts/CDK to build and manage Cloud resources.Modernize legacy Oracle Forms/Oracle Database applications.Build APIs and AWS Lambda functions.Act as a technical lead and mentor for junior developers.Work collaboratively with others to achieve project goals.Required QualificationsExperience:A minimum of 5 years of experience developing, deploying, and supporting Python applications in a production environment.At least 4 years of AWS Cloud Development experience.A minimum of 3 years supporting AWS environments in both test and production.At least 2 years of experience developing, deploying, and supporting Terraform scripts/CDK.Experience with Full Stack Application Development.Technical Skills:Proficiency in Python, AWS Lambda, and API Development.Experience with Boto 3 SDK, Chalice, Chef, Puppet, or Ansible for AWS.Demonstrated ability to write scripts in languages such as Shell, Ruby, or Java.Knowledge of AWS Cloud fundamentals including Lambda, API Gateway, S3, DynamoDB, EC2, Glue, Kinesis, EMR, Glacier, IAM, ELB, and VPC.Knowledge of Bash and networking.Preferred QualificationsAn AWS Developer Associate Certification is preferred.Experience with application modernization or cloud migration.Knowledge of AWS Architecture, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), or CloudWatch/Monitoring.Experience with monitoring and load testing applications.Software development experience in financial services or real estate related industries is a plus.A bachelor's degree in a technical discipline or equivalent work experience.
