Physician - Interventional Pain

Job Summary Ochsner Health is seeking multiple BC/BE Anesthesiologists or PM&R Physicians fellowship trained in Interventional Pain Management to join our expanding Interventional Pain Medicine program in the Greater New Orleans area. Preferred candidates will have a strong interest in chronic pain management and be able to provide interventional and comprehensive care in the outpatient as well as the perioperative setting. As this is an academic program, candidates must be willing to commit to teaching and/or research. Salary and title will be commensurate with training and experience. Responsibilities Examine patients and make diagnoses of clinical conditions and prescribe medications, treatments, and follow‑up care as required. Prescribe pharmaceuticals, other medications, and treatment regimens to treat identified and documented medical conditions. Provide care directly and indirectly by working with other interdisciplinary team members to formulate treatment plans. Timely record patient encounters in the electronic health record. Request further medical evaluations and make referrals as necessary. Understand and commit to the highest standards of professionalism and hold others to those standards. Collaborate with all department members to provide quality patient care. Ensure accurate coding of all patient visits. Comply with policies, procedures, and standards of care consistent with accreditation, state and federal licensure, Medicare, Medicaid, and other applicable regulations. Remain knowledgeable on current federal, state, and local laws and accreditation standards that apply to the assigned area of responsibility. Qualifications Required – Board certified or eligible for certification in physician’s primary specialty; licensed practicing provider MD/DO; credentialed and willing to maintain clinical practice.
