Taxfix is Europe's leading digital tax platform, making tax filing simple, fair, and accessible for millions of people. We're scaling fast, building new financial products, and transforming how we work from the inside out. AI is already deeply embedded in how we build and operate. We've moved well past exploration and are now focused on scaling impact, embedding AI into our core workflows, and evolving our organisation to get the most out of it.

We're looking for a VP Strategy who is equal parts strategic architect, operator, and AI-native leader. Someone who can help us accelerate what's already working and make the harder, more complex bets pay off.

This is one of the most impactful and visible roles at Taxfix. You'll operate at the heart of the company. Working directly with the CEO and partnering across the full Executive Leadership Team to drive the thinking, coordination, and execution that keeps our most critical priorities moving. You'll work across every business unit and lead a team of Senior Strategy Managers. This is not a PowerPoint role. We need someone who can think at 30,000 feet and then roll up their sleeves.

Group Strategy Development & Execution
  • Lead the design, coordination, and evolution of Taxfix's group-wide strategic plan; spanning consumer tax filing, self-employed services, and future financial products.

  • Partner with executive leadership to define strategic priorities, evaluate market opportunities, and build clear execution roadmaps.

  • Own the strategic planning cycle and connect it to our OKR framework, ensuring alignment across business units and early identification of risk or drift.

  • Ensure AI strategy is fully integrated into the broader group strategy: continuously sharpening where AI creates the most competitive advantage and where it demands the next wave of organisational adaptation.

Internal Operational Efficiency
  • Lead and manage special projects and cross-functional task forces, often on confidential, high-stakes topics.

  • Analyse, design, and improve business-critical internal workflows, decision-making processes, and management routines.

  • Monitor KPIs and project milestones; surface risks and roadblocks before they become problems.

  • Drive Executive Team meeting cadences, weekly updates, quarterly offsites, strategy sessions (including agendas, materials, and post-meeting follow-up).

  • Manage and optimise the CEO's focus, protecting their time and ensuring it's allocated to what matters most.

  • Act as the key liaison between the CEO and the Executive Leadership Team: facilitating follow-through, surfacing blockers, and driving accountability on critical topics.

  • Prepare high-quality briefings, strategic documents, and internal and external communications on behalf of the CEO.

  • Serve as the first point of review for key business issues, triaging what requires CEO attention and what doesn't.

  • Lead the development of Board narratives and presentation materials: clear, data-driven, and tightly aligned to strategic priorities.

AI Transformation: Scaling & Sustaining Impact
  • Taxfix is already on a significant AI transformation journey. This role is not about starting that conversation, it's about accelerating it with rigour, prioritisation, and sustainable execution.

  • Work alongside the CEO and functional leaders to deepen AI integration across how we build, decide, and operate, moving from early wins to embedded, scalable capability.

  • Bring strategic discipline to AI prioritisation: ensuring we're doubling down on what's working, retiring what isn't, and making smart bets on the next frontier.

  • Drive the organisational evolution required to truly operate as an AI-native company — including how we structure teams, develop capability, and measure productivity differently.

  • Maintain external perspective on AI trends, competitor moves, and emerging best practices; translate signal into strategic action quickly.

  • Ensure our AI momentum is sustainable: balancing speed with governance, change management, and responsible adoption at scale.

Leadership Support & Team Coordination
  • Support the CEO in managing and coaching the Executive Leadership Team.

  • Drive coordination across complex, cross-functional initiatives, building bridges between business units and departments.

  • Lead, develop, and inspire a team of Senior Strategy Managers: raising their strategic impact, supporting their growth, and holding a high performance bar.

What We're Looking For
Experience
  • 8+ years of professional experience, with a track record that combines experience across leading management consulting firms with hands-on operational experience in a startup or scale-up environment. You've seen how strategy is built and you know why it often fails in execution.

AI Fluency, For Real
  • You are genuinely AI-native. You don't need convincing that AI changes everything, you've already been working that way. You have hands-on experience applying AI tools and approaches to real business problems, and you've contributed to or led transformation programmes where AI was already in flight. You know how to scale what's working, course-correct what isn't, and push an organisation to go further and faster without losing coherence. Experience operating in a company mid-transformation (not just at the starting line) is essential.

Strategic Expertise
  • Deep grounding in corporate strategy, business transformation, and operational scaling across multiple business areas. You know how to build a strategy that is both ambitious and executable.

Operational Mindset
  • You're as comfortable designing a decision-making process as you are building a market entry thesis. You understand that strategy without operational discipline is just aspiration.

Structured Problem-Solving
  • You see the big picture without losing the details. You break complexity down into clear frameworks, crisp recommendations, and actionable next steps.

Communication Excellence
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills. You can synthesise a complex topic into a one-pager, build a Board narrative from scratch, and adjust your register depending on the audience — without losing substance.

Execution & Project Management
  • Highly organised, dependable, and capable of managing multiple high-stakes projects simultaneously without dropping the ball.

Leadership & EQ
  • Strong interpersonal skills and emotional intelligence. You can influence without authority, build trust across all levels, and get the best out of the people around you.

Integrity
  • Absolute discretion with confidential information. High personal integrity and trustworthiness are non-negotiable in this role.

Languages
  • Fluent in English. German is a strong plus.
