School Psychologist

The School Psychologist is responsible for the psychological assessment of academic, social, emotional, and behavioral domains utilizing problem-solving and standardized evaluations. The School Psychologist monitors the completion of case study evaluations and participates in Individual Education Plan (IEP) conferences and problem-solving meetings designing systems, programs and services that maximize students social, emotional, and educational success. In collaboration with staff, families, students, and communities the school psychologist promotes effective educational environments. Work Setting: School-BasedLocation: Los Angeles, CAEmployment Type: Full TimeSalary range: $79,000 - $115,000 per year/ DOEWhat Youll Do:Provide legally compliant multidisciplinary psycho-educational evaluations and reports by timelines set by IDEA and the school management team.Monitor completion of case study evaluations and participate in IEP conferences and problem solving meetings.Follow best practices in ecological assessment to include observation and parent input. Monitor receipt of and review Request for Service packets from school districts, assist in scheduling IEP Administrative Placement and facilitating enrollment procedures. Responsible for maintaining a variety of records, including IEP meeting schedules, annual and triennial IEP dates, assessment logs, DIS counseling progress notes and Registers, personal student files, student suspension records, Behavior Emergency Reports, Manifestation Determination files, Behavior Support Plan IEP Review dates, AB 3632 Referral logs and files, Inventory logs and other files and logs as required. Assist in maintaining the currency of the schools IEP Master Calendar. Travel to multiple sites within the school geographical boundaries to required meetings as needed located throughout Los Angeles County. Create and access multiple types of databases; utilize internet-based IEP document programs (such as Special Education Information Systems-SEIS or SIRAS); able to create documents using MS Office Power Point, Excel, and Word. Assists with coordination of crisis intervention activities, provides grief counseling and psychological de-briefing support as needed. Adheres to school regulations, the Department of Psychological Services/Counseling Professional Standards and National Association of School Psychologists Code of Ethics and Standards of Conduct.Travel to client sites as required.Provide virtual support to VillageED and in-home students.Ability to meet specific key performance indicator. Performs other duties as assigned. What You Bring:A Masters degree in Psychology or a closely related field from an institution of higher learning accredited by the Council for Higher Education AccreditationMinimum two (2) years working with at risk youth and/or students in special education focusing on various disabilities including emotional disturbance, autism, ADD/ADHD, specific learning/severe disabilitiesThe following Licensures are highly desirable, but not required: LSCI, NCSP, LEP, BCBA, MFT, LCSW, Crisis Prevention Intervention, or Clinical PsychologistMust be legally eligible to work in CaliforniaMaintain a valid drivers license or the ability to obtain transportation between job sites, is requiredCompetencies:Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.Benefits:Health Insurance (HMO & PPO options)Dental InsuranceVision InsuranceBasic Life InsuranceLong Term DisabilityHealth FSA, Dependent Care FSA401K with matchingPTOPaid HolidaysPaid Sick LeaveTravel, Reimbursement, & Program Support: Successful candidates must be willing to travel within California and any other states as needed.May require travel to the corporate office in Pasadena, CA, for staff meetings.Travel to client sites as required.Manage a caseload across various locations within a designated region. Successful candidate must be adaptable and prepared for assignments at various locations.Provide virtual support to VillageED and in-home students.Ability to meet specific key performance indicators.Mileage reimbursement for personal vehicle use is provided at the discretion of the company.All work-related travel expenses may be reimbursed in accordance with company policy.Eligibility for benefits may vary based on employment status, classification, and other factors.
