Job Description

QED Hospitality is a restaurant operations management group, focused on running Food & Beverage operations in boutique hotels and exclusive sites nationally. We bring our operational acumen to the table, developing and managing restaurants tailored to the hotel, the region and the demands of the market. These are not cookie cutter concepts, but true restaurants born of the region and based on our history.

The role of the host is about more than just seating guests at a table. The host stand is the control center of our restaurant and the first introduction to our guests. It is the ideal place to not just improve your organizational and communication skills, but learn the intricacies of restaurant operations. A great host treats all guests with kindness and respect, ensures that staff has all the information they need for a great service, and keeps the flow of the restaurant smooth and balanced. We are looking for people who are passionate about customer service, and who display multi-tasking abilities, a warmth of spirit and grace under pressure.

Key Responsibilities

1. Greet guests warmly and promptly upon arrival.
2. Manage reservations, waitlists, and table assignments efficiently.
3. Escort guests to their tables and provide menus.
4. Communicate effectively with servers and the kitchen to ensure smooth service.
5. Monitor dining room activity and assist with guest requests as needed.
6. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host stand and entrance area.
7. Answer phones, provide information about menus and hotel amenities, and handle inquiries or special requests.
8. Support team members in creating a positive, guest-first environment.
9. Follow all health, safety, and sanitation procedures.

Qualifications

• Previous hospitality, front desk, or customer service experience preferred but not required.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Positive attitude, professional appearance, and guest-focused mindset.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and handle busy service times calmly.
• Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Must be at least 18 years of age. Must possess excellent customer service and communication skills. Must uphold company standards relating to appearance and dress.

Preferred: High school diploma or GED. Previous hosting experience is a plus.

Physical, Mental and Environmental Demands

Must be able to maneuver to all areas of the restaurant. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. Must have a manual dexterity and coordination to operate restaurant and office equipment and machines. Must be able to work at a fast pace and in stressful situations. Must be able to respond to visual and aural cues.

"The Kitchen Table" (an allusion to the Noe family's tradition of hospitality) is a restaurant and event space that will provide an interactive experience that ignites a connection to Jim Beam's family heritage through craft innovation and elevated hospitality, drawing spirited imbibers in for not only the first stop on the Bourbon Trail, but also the ultimate.

Compensation Details

Compensation: Hourly ($15.00)
