Job Responsibilities
- Customized Treatment Plans: Assess patient needs and craft personalized therapy approaches that help them achieve their individual goals
- Therapeutic Interventions: Apply research-based techniques to support improvements in motor skills, cognitive function, and everyday living tasks
- Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Partner with a diverse team of OTs, PTs, STs, physicians, and nurses to deliver thorough and holistic care
- Patient and Caregiver Instruction: Teach patients and their families about therapy methods to facilitate continued progress beyond the clinical setting
- Track Progress and Document Results: Monitor treatment efficiency and adjust strategies as necessary to ensure optimal patient care
- Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited university
- Commitment to ongoing education and professional development opportunities
- Current Occupational Therapist (OTR/L) license
- NBCOT (National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy) certification required
- Genuine passion for assisting individuals in attaining their maximum level of independence
- Empathetic and effective communication skills with patients and colleagues
- Creative problem-solving skills and adaptability to a variety of patient needs
- Confidence working autonomously as well as within a close-knit interdisciplinary team
