Job Overview A law firm seeks an Associate Attorney with over 5 years of construction defect litigation experience in Walnut Creek, CA. This role offers immediate file handling responsibility, courtroom exposure, and growth within a collaborative team. Duties Handle construction defect and habitability litigation from intake through resolution. Conduct all aspects of discovery. Draft pleadings, motions, and legal memoranda. Appear in state court for hearings, conferences, and mediations. Communicate effectively with clients, experts, and opposing counsel. Collaborate with partners and associates on case strategy. Produce high-quality written work reflecting strong research and analytical skills. Requirements JD from an accredited law school. Active and in good standing with the California State Bar. 5+ years of construction defect litigation experience. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Excellent research, writing, and analytical abilities. Ability to manage deadlines and work efficiently in a fast‑paced environment. State courtroom experience. Trial experience a plus but not required. Education JD from an accredited law school. Certifications Active membership with the California State Bar.
