Job Description

Essential Responsibilities:

• Conduct research, data analysis, and diagnostics to assess business performance.
• Develop strategic recommendations based on financial modeling, competitive analysis, and industry trends.
• Support the design of business transformation plans, operating models, and process improvements.
• Perform variance analysis, trend identification, and ad hoc financial analyses to support strategic decision-making by the VP of Finance, CFO, and executive team.
• Benchmark financial operations against healthcare industry best practices and recommend targeted improvements, including better leveraging existing Workday modules and tools.
• Analyze revenue cycle data, cost structures, and operational metrics to identify financial performance improvement opportunities, utilizing AI-driven analytics and predictive modeling where applicable.
• Act in accordance with the established mission, vision, and values.
• Abide by the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability privacy and security regulations regarding all aspects of Protected Health Information (PHI).
• Maintain effective communication and professional working relationships with patients/clients and their representatives, team members, contractors, physicians, peers, outside agencies, and the public.

Minimum Qualifications:

Required Education and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in business, finance, accounting or related field
• 7+ years of experience in financial decision support or related roles
• Experience with Kansas healthcare systems or familiarity with Kansas-specific financial regulations.

Required License/Certifications/Registrations

Preferred Qualifications:

Preferred Education and Experience

• Master's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting or related field.
• Healthcare industry experience.

Preferred License/Certifications/Registrations

• Professional certification (e.g., CPA, CMA)

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Advanced proficiency in Excel (VBA, Power Query, pivot tables) and data visualization tools (Power BI or equivalent).
• Working knowledge of SQL, Microsoft Access, or other database/query tools.
• Experience with enterprise ERP platforms (Workday preferred; experience with Oracle NetSuite, Salesforce, Certinia, or similar platforms demonstrating transferable skills also accepted).
• Proven ability to assess ERP module utilization, identify gaps, and drive adoption of underused system capabilities.
• Familiarity with process automation tools, AI-assisted financial analysis, and emerging financial technologies.
• Ability to act as an advisor and influence senior stakeholders without direct authority
