Our top priority is to provide the highest levels of patient-centered care to those we serve./ppWCDC is an Opioid Treatment Program (OTP) facility using FDA approved medication paired with behavioral health counseling. Our individual service plans are built around patients in a supportive, safe environment to create a personalized pathway to recovery. In addition to recovery, we also offer planned patient transportation and family and social support./ppPosition Summary/ppThe Medical Assistant supports clinic operations by providing direct member care, assisting providers, and ensuring seamless delivery of healthcare services. This role requires adaptability, collaboration, and an understanding of the medical assistant scope of licensure. The Medical Assistant works with a wide range of individuals, including members, staff, providers, and external contacts, to deliver compassionate, high-quality care. The Medical Assistant is part of the Medical Support Team, which includes both Medical Assistants and Medical support LPN Nurses. This team is expected to support each other as needed across duties, within their current training and licensure./ppResponsibilities/ppClinical Support/pulliAssist providers in preparing for and delivering clinical services, including exams, procedures, and treatments./liliCollect and document member vital signs, medical histories, and relevant health information./liliPerform medical procedures such as blood draws, EKGs, and UA collections within the medical assistant scope of licensure./liliPrepare members for their visits, ensuring comfort and understanding of procedures./li/ulpMember Engagement Education/pulliProvide compassionate care, ensuring a welcoming and supportive environment for members./liliEducate members about their treatment plans, follow-up care, and available resources./liliAddress member questions and concerns with professionalism and empathy./li/ulpOperational Support/pulliPrepare and maintain the clinic for daily operations, ensuring cleanliness, organization, and adequate supplies./liliCollaborate with team members to coordinate member flow and optimize service delivery./liliSupport accurate and timely documentation in electronic medical records (EMR) systems./li/ulpTeam Collaboration/pulliWork closely with providers and clinical staff as part of the Medical Support Team to deliver integrated, member-centered care./liliParticipate in team meetings, contributing ideas to improve operations and member experiences./liliAssist in onboarding and training new team members as needed./liliSupport team members across duties as allowed by current training and licensure./li/ulpEducation Certification/pulliHigh school diploma or equivalent required./liliCompletion of a qualified Medical Assistant course with active certification or registration valid in the state of Washington./li/ulpKnowledge Skills/pulliKnowledge of medical support MA scope of licensure and professional guidelines./liliProficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) systems and basic computer applications./liliStrong organizational and time management skills./liliAbility to work collaboratively with a wide range of individuals, including members, staff, providers, and external contacts./li/ulpWork Environment/ppThis role operates within the WeCare Clinic, providing care and services in a collaborative clinic environment.
