JOB SUMMARY

This position is responsible for performing routine and non-routine types of preventive and on-going maintenance within our stores (this includes repairs in the areas of electrical, mechanical, plumbing, carpentry, and machine servicing).

ESSENTIAL ACCOUNTABILITIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

The following description of work to be performed by this individual is not intended to be all-inclusive. Rather, it focuses on the major tasks that must be accomplished. There are many necessary activities to satisfy any of the following performance guidelines.

• Provide assistance to all Lunds & Byerlys team members modeling company customer service standards at all times
• Follow appropriate equipment/tool repair and maintenance guidelines for preventive and routine maintenance to assure safety standards
• Ensure established equipment, parts and service manuals inventory guidelines are followed; maintain ongoing inventory report of equipment, parts and service manuals to ensure accurate accounting
• Diagnose, troubleshoot and repair equipment safely, following all mechanical, electrical and plumbing codes
• Maintain equipment, parts and supplies inventories by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed equipment, parts, and supplies
• Control downtime by prioritizing work orders according to business needs
• Maintain a clean and orderly work area ensuring workspace and storage areas are free from debris and clutter at all times. Report unsafe work environment to management

SCHEDULE

Our Maintenance Team works primarily Monday-Friday with a rotating on-call schedule that covers night and weekend emergencies.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

1. Education
   1. Required: Completion of two-year technical degree or equivalent knowledge/experience
2. Licensing Required:
   1. Certification in one or more maintenance related trade (including refrigeration, HVAC, electrical, millwright, plumbing, machining, etc.)
   2. Forklift/scissor lift certification (ability to obtain and maintain)
   3. Boiler's license (ability to obtain and maintain Special Engineering license at a minimum)
   4. Lock out/tag out (LOTO) (ability to obtain and maintain)
3. Experience:
   1. Five or more years' experience in commercial or industrial equipment and building repairs with a solid understanding of building controls
   2. Experience with CMMS and PM systems desired
   3. HVAC and refrigeration system experience

5. Other required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
   1. A service-oriented team member with a high energy, positive and friendly demeanor
   2. Ability to follow all food, personal, safety and sanitation guidelines including hand washing, wearing proper uniform, sanitizing, repairing, maintaining equipment and tools to guard against contamination, and assure all product is safe for consumption
   3. Ability to respond to continually changing priorities and coordinate multiple projects
   4. Ability to weld with MIG, TIG & STICK
   5. Ability to work without supervision
   6. Computer skills (Outlook, Excel, Word)
   7. Demonstrated ability to read, interpret and understand instructions, equipment manuals, mechanical and electrical schematics and blueprints as well as food safety, sanitation and safety procedures
   8. Demonstrated ability to work with a wide range of equipment and tools
   9. Knowledge of building maintenance
   10. Strong customer service, interpersonal, communication and problem solving skills
   11. Strong mechanical, electrical and equipment troubleshooting abilities and skills
   12. Strong time management and organizational skills
   13. PLC programming
