Registered Nurse (RN) Saville Center Community Health

Inova Schar Cancer Institute’s Fairfax location is looking for a dedicated Registered Nurse to join the community health team in our Saville Center for Cancer Screening and Prevention. This role will be Full-Time day shift from Monday – Friday, with an occasional Saturday shift to join the Mobile Bus team onsite. Our clinic is open from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. Sign On Bonus and Relocation Assistance Available for qualified external applicants.

This nurse will support our Mobile Bus team and will be required to join the team in the community 1-2 times per week. Must be able to travel to a variety of locations in northern Virginia.

The Saville Clinic (PV1), which is located within the newly built Inova Schar Cancer Institute, is an outpatient center whose team members work closely with board-certified medical and surgical oncologist as well as advanced practitioners to serve patients for management of cancer screening and preventative care.

The Registered Nurse provides knowledgeable and caring clinical practice and care coordination through an understanding of patients, families, nurses and healthcare delivery teams. Consistently provides safe and therapeutic care in a holistic and systematic way while incorporating differences into the provision of care and conducting all patient care in a patient/family centered manner. Integrates knowledge, skills and experiences to meet the needs of patients and families throughout the continuum, to include patient and family education. Communicates effectively and works cooperatively with others while having respect for and an understanding of other clinical disciplines. Determines processes for delivery of care from direct patient/family communication, technology and other healthcare team member collaboration.

Minimum Qualifications:

• A minimum of 1 year of Registered Nurse clinical experience.
• Education: BSN or ADN - If ADN then complete BSN within 5 years of start date
• BLS for Healthcare Provider Certification from the American Heart Association required
• RN licensed, and eligible to practice in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
• Proficient in English, strong verbal and written communication skills. Exceptional interpersonal skill and the ability to display a caring demeanor towards others. Proficient computer skills required.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous community health experience or work with public health preferred
• Bilingual strongly preferred
