Cloud Architect

We’re hiring a Cloud Architect to help drive a high-impact federal modernization effort focused on redesigning and advancing a mission-critical national infrastructure platform.

This initiative is backed by a multi-billion-dollar investment (initial $12B+) aimed at replacing legacy systems with secure, cloud-first, and highly resilient architectures built to handle increasing demand, improve system reliability, and enhance overall performance.

This is an opportunity to step into a ground-floor role on a once-in-a-generation transformation , where your work will directly influence large-scale operations, support critical real-world use cases, and shape the future of how these systems are built and delivered.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Lead enterprise cloud strategy aligned to modernization + digital transformation initiatives
• Define cloud architecture standards, governance models, and best practices
• Conduct cloud readiness assessments (aligned to federal migration frameworks)
• Design and implement secure cloud solutions in AWS GovCloud and/or Azure Government
• Ensure compliance with FedRAMP Moderate/High and federal security requirements
• Build and scale CI/CD pipelines + DevSecOps frameworks
• Architect and support containerized environments (Kubernetes/ECS)
• Enable edge compute architectures for distributed, low-latency mission systems
• Support ATO processes and continuous monitoring efforts
• Implement centralized logging, monitoring, and audit capabilities (OMB M-21-31 aligned)
• Drive FinOps strategy (cost optimization + cloud spend visibility)

Required Experience

• Strong hands-on experience with AWS (GovCloud) AND Azure Government
• Proven background designing FedRAMP Moderate/High-compliant architectures
• Experience with cloud migration / readiness assessments
• Deep expertise in CI/CD + DevSecOps (automation, security scanning, pipelines)
• Experience with Kubernetes / container orchestration platforms
• Knowledge of ATO processes and federal compliance requirements
• Familiarity with centralized logging + monitoring strategies
• Experience managing cloud cost optimization / FinOps

Nice to Have

• Experience supporting similar federal modernization efforts
• Familiarity with SWIM (System Wide Information Management)
• Experience in GCC High / IL4–IL6 environments
• Exposure to edge/OT systems or distributed mission-critical architectures
