Occasional Laborers
This is a short term opportunity great for summer employment! As a Missoula County employee, you will be part of a team that is committed to positively impacting the community. The pay range for this position is $17.44 - $19.16 per hour, DOE.
The Missoula County Fairgrounds is seeking occasional laborers to join their team. This position performs a variety of unskilled manual labor.
Details: Priority screening will begin on Wednesday, May 27, 2026. It is in your best interest to apply before this date. Applications will continue to be accepted until all positions have been filled.

Representative Examples of Work
Cleans, paints and assists with minor repairs to buildings and other fairgrounds structures. Digs and fills excavations. Rakes leaves, mows lawns and trims shrubs. Cuts and removes brush and trees. Maintains clean grounds; picks up trash; empties garbage cans. Shovels snow and/or manure. Removes ice from streets and walkways. Moves heavy objects from one location to another.
Minimum Qualifications
Requires 6 months of experience in manual labor or basic grounds-keeping. Requires a valid driver's license.
Physical/Environmental Demands
Requires bending, stooping, crawling, climbing ladders and heavy lifting (50-75 pounds). May require working under extreme outdoor weather conditions.
