Vendor Management Specialist

Careerscape is recruiting on behalf of our client, a growing organization in the Atlanta area, for an experienced Vendor Management Specialist. In this role, you will own the vendor lifecycle from sourcing and onboarding through performance monitoring and contract renewal, serving as the key point of contact between the company and its supplier network. Day to day, you will juggle vendor scorecards, contract negotiations, and cross-functional requests from finance, operations, and legal teams, all while keeping a sharp eye on risk and compliance. People who thrive in this role are organized, diplomatic, and comfortable balancing multiple vendor relationships at once, with a knack for spotting cost-saving opportunities and holding partners accountable to service-level agreements.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain relationships with existing and prospective vendors
• Negotiate contract terms, pricing, and service-level agreements
• Evaluate vendor performance against established KPIs and scorecards
• Manage the full vendor onboarding and offboarding process
• Ensure vendor compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements
• Collaborate with procurement, finance, and legal teams on contract renewals
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and process improvements
• Resolve vendor disputes and escalations in a timely manner
• Maintain accurate vendor records and documentation in the vendor management system
• Track vendor spend and prepare regular reporting for leadership

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain management, or related field
• Five or more years of experience in vendor management, procurement, or supply chain
• Strong negotiation and contract management skills
• Proficiency with vendor management or ERP software
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple vendor relationships simultaneously
• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
• Experience developing and tracking vendor performance metrics
• Knowledge of procurement best practices and compliance requirements
