Staff Pharmacist | Columbia, Maryland

A specialty pharmacy focusing on behavioral medications seeks a full-time Staff Pharmacist for a daytime role. This opportunity is ideal for a detail-oriented pharmacist with prior retail or specialty experience looking to contribute to patient care in a dynamic environment.


Location: Baltimore, MD

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM

Job Type: Contract (4-week assignment)


Key Responsibilities:

• Verify prescriptions accurately and efficiently
• Provide thorough patient counseling to ensure medication understanding and adherence
• Supervise and manage pharmacy technicians to maintain workflow and accuracy

Qualifications:

• Active, clear Maryland State Pharmacist license in good standing
• Prior experience in retail or specialty pharmacy settings preferred
• Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a fast-paced team environment

Work Environment:

• Handles a daily prescription volume ranging from 100 to 200 orders
• Utilizes PioneerRX pharmacy software system
• Supported by a team of 5 pharmacy technicians and 1 specialty pharmacist assistant

This contract role offers the option for either one pharmacist to cover full-time hours or two pharmacists to split shifts, providing flexibility for candidates.
