Maintenance Technician

Maintenance TechnicianWe are seeking a skilled and dependable Maintenance Technician to support the day-to-day operations of our property. This role is responsible for performing a wide range of maintenance and repair tasks while delivering excellent service to tenants and ensuring the building remains safe, functional, and well-maintained.Key ResponsibilitiesRespond promptly and professionally to tenant service requestsPerform general maintenance and repairs on building systems, including: doors, floors, walls, ceilings, and fixtures; plumbing systems and restroom equipment; locks, keys, and architectural featuresComplete and track work orders using a CMMS systemConduct routine inspections and preventive maintenanceAssist engineers and coordinate with contractors and vendorsRespond to emergency situations (fire, evacuations, equipment failures)Maintain accurate records, logs, and maintenance documentationEnsure compliance with safety standards, codes, and company policiesMaintain clean and organized mechanical rooms and equipment areasManage inventory of parts and suppliesCommunicate daily with management, tenants, and team membersSupport overall facility appearance and operational excellenceAdditional DutiesMaintain and repair plumbing, drainage, and tenant equipmentPerform minor repairs to walls, ceilings, flooring, and furnitureInstall fixtures such as signage, cabinets, and equipmentPrepare incident and maintenance reports as neededAssist with coordination of janitorial and day porter staffTake on additional tasks as assigned by engineering leadershipQualifications & SkillsMinimum 2 years of building maintenance experienceWorking knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and control systemsFamiliarity with hand and power toolsAbility to read technical manuals and drawingsExperience using CMMS systems (e.g., 360 Facility/Rediworks preferred)Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skillsGood verbal and written communication abilitiesProficient with computers and handheld devicesPhysical RequirementsAbility to lift 50 lbs or moreAbility to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and climb ladders throughout the dayAbility to access confined spaces and rooftopsCapable of working both indoors (80%) and outdoors (20%)Additional RequirementsValid driver's license with a good driving recordStrong attendance and flexibility with work schedulesProfessional appearance and demeanor at all timesAbility to remain calm and effective in emergency situationsBenefits/PerksCompetitive salary commensurate with experience.Comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, and vision insurance.401(k) retirement savings plan with company match.Opportunities for professional development and advancement.Note: This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive.
