Embark on a rewarding opportunity as an Intervention Specialist, supporting students in a dynamic high school setting dedicated to Drop Out Recovery and Transitional Programming. This contract role, conveniently located near Hamilton, OH, offers you the chance to make an impactful difference in students’ educational journeys through the end of June 2027.
In this position, you’ll actively engage with a high school caseload, fostering growth and achievement for learners with diverse abilities. Your expertise will be instrumental in providing targeted interventions, collaborating with staff, and tailoring instructional strategies that support lasting development.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid Special Education teaching credentials
- Experience working with high school students in special education settings
- Strong knowledge of developing and implementing IEPs
- Familiarity with intervention strategies and transitional supports
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Flexibility and problem-solving skills in meeting student needs
Core Responsibilities:
- Design and deliver specialized instruction for high school students in a Drop Out Recovery and Transitional program
- Develop, update, and monitor Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
- Assess student progress, adjusting interventions as needed
- Collaborate with general education teachers and support staff to create inclusive learning experiences
- Communicate progress with families and coordinate with outside agencies as appropriate
- Foster a positive, engaging classroom environment that encourages academic and social success
