Occupational Health Medical Assistant

We have a new assignment for an Occupational Health Medical Assistant (MA) in Sunnyvale, CA. You will be providing medical care in a corporate business location.

Schedule: Mon-Friday 8am to 5pm

Pay: $28.00 - $30.00 per hour

Clinical Duties:

• Health Screenings: Administer drug and alcohol screenings, vision and hearing tests (audiograms), and pulmonary function tests (PFT).
• Exams & Vaccinations: Assist providers with new-hire physicals, Department of Transportation (DOT) exams, and administer immunizations.
• Injury Intake: Process baseline first reports of injury, assist with minor in-office procedures, and manage blood draws or lab collections.

Administrative Duties:

• Compliance Tracking: Ensure employee medical files comply with Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and clinic mandates.
• Record Management: Maintain highly confidential employee medical records, vaccination logs, and exposure incident reports.
• Scheduling: Coordinate appointments for employee physicals, follow-up workers' comp care, and respiratory fit testing.

Core Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or GED. Graduation from an accredited Medical Assisting program is required.
• Certification: Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), Registered Medical Assistant (RMA), or Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) is preferred.
• Life Support: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
