Job Details / Oncology Job Summary

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $6,150 - $7,280 (locum tenens pay)
• Location: Turlock, CA (Central Valley; close to Sacramento, Oakland & San Francisco airports)
• Setting: Outpatient Hematology & Oncology Unit (13 chemo beds, 8 exam rooms; infusion center)
• Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
• Patient Volume: ~25 patient encounters per shift (outpatient clinics, follow-up visits, chemotherapy supervision)
• Assignment Duration: 13 weeks (potential to extend or transition to permanent medical oncologist/hematologist role)

Qualifications / Job Requirements

• MD required; Board Certification in BOTH Hematology and Oncology
• Active California medical license required
• BLS certification
• Minimum 1 year of clinical experience in hematology/oncology practice
• Fellowship training in hematology/oncology
• Available to start by June 1, 2026

Key Responsibilities - Hematology/Oncology Physician

• Provide comprehensive outpatient hematology and oncology care, including chemotherapy administration oversight and survivorship follow-up
• Manage approximately 25 patient encounters per shift across clinic and infusion services
• Assess patients, develop treatment plans, monitor treatment response, and manage treatment-related toxicities
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team (nursing, pharmacy, social work, radiation oncology as applicable) to deliver high-quality care
• Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation and ensure adherence to safety and chemotherapy protocols
