Job Title: Infant Lead Teacher (12-18 months)
Location: Berlin Education Station, 10008 Old Ocean City Blvd. Berlin, MD
About Us: Berlin Education Station is an MSDE licensed & accredited childcare center serving children ages 6 weeks through 12 years old. We are committed to providing a safe, nurturing, and enriching environment for all children. We are currently seeking passionate and qualified early childhood educators to join our team.
Job Description: We are looking for a passionate and qualified early childhood educator to fill openings for an Infant Lead Teacher. The ideal candidate will have a passion for instilling values in young children, possess high energy, and be able to handle the demands of infants and toddlers with different personalities and needs.
Responsibilities:
- Guide infants through developmental stages.
- Respond to each child’s needs efficiently and thoughtfully.
- Display a patient and calm personality with a loving approach to every child.
- Contribute positively to the behavior and social interaction of the children.
- Build secure relationships with the children.
- Work closely with management to ensure adherence to guidelines.
- Report accidents, illnesses, and unusual behavior to the Director and parents.
- Maintain close communication with parents throughout the day as needed.
- Protect the safety of all children in the center.
- Supervise children directly at all times.
- Use positive phrasing with children.
- Exhibit behavior management consistent with Berlin Education Station philosophy.
- Co-play and interact with children during play activities both indoors and on the playground.
- Treat each child with dignity and respect, recognizing the cultural and socio-economic diversity of the population.
- Respond to the individual needs and learning styles of children.
- Respond promptly and appropriately to children in distress.
- Meet with parents to discuss the goals and needs of students in their program.
- Coordinate with administration to create education plans for the students.
- Track the developmental milestones of students for signs of progress.

Requirements:- Must be able to pass a background check.
- 2+ years of experience as an Infant Lead Teacher.
- Completed all OCC coursework for Infant/Toddler Lead Teacher.
- Credentialed as MSDE level 3+ required.
