They are currently seeking a dynamic, strategic, and mission-driven Director of Advancement to lead the organization’s fundraising, donor engagement, marketing, and community partnership initiatives.The ideal candidate is entrepreneurial, collaborative, and highly motivated, with a passion for community impact and relationship-building. This individual is equally comfortable operating strategically and executing tactically, bringing both vision and accountability to the organization’s advancement efforts.

This senior leadership role is responsible for driving sustainable revenue growth through major gifts, corporate sponsorships, grants, annual giving, and signature fundraising events, while elevating the Foundation’s visibility and impact throughout Palm Beach County.

Working closely with the Executive Director, Board leadership, and community stakeholders, the Director of Advancement will develop and execute innovative advancement strategies that strengthen donor relationships, expand philanthropic support, and build the infrastructure necessary to support the Foundation’s long-term growth and mission impact.

Key Responsibilities

Fundraising & Donor Engagement

• Lead and execute comprehensive fundraising strategies to increase philanthropic revenue through individual giving, corporate sponsorships, grants, donor-advised funds, and special events.
• Cultivate, steward, and expand relationships with donors, sponsors, foundations, and community partners.
• Develop and manage a strong donor pipeline to support long-term organizational sustainability.
• Partner with leadership to achieve annual fundraising and sponsorship goals.

Events & Community Partnerships

• Oversee planning and execution of all fundraising and community engagement events.
• Strengthen the Foundation’s visibility and community presence through strategic partnerships and outreach initiatives.
• Ensure all events and donor experiences align with the Foundation’s mission, brand, and values.

Grant Writing & Institutional Funding

• Research and pursue public and private grant opportunities.
• Prepare compelling grant proposals, reports, and stewardship materials.
• Maintain organized tracking systems for grants, sponsorships, reporting deadlines, and donor engagement activities.

Marketing & Communications

• Lead marketing and communications efforts across social media, email campaigns, website content, and public relations initiatives.
• Develop compelling storytelling and impact-driven campaigns that highlight student success and community impact.
• Ensure consistency and professionalism across all external communications and branding.

Organizational Leadership & Systems Management

• Utilize Salesforce Nonprofit Cloud and related platforms to manage donor data, reporting, and fundraising analytics.
• Prepare advancement reports and fundraising updates for organizational leadership and Board members.
• Serve as a strategic thought partner to the Executive Director in building scalable systems and advancement infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of progressive nonprofit advancement, fundraising, development, or communications experience.
• Proven success securing major gifts, sponsorships, grants, and managing fundraising events.
• Strong relationship-building, communication, and storytelling skills.
• Experience with CRM systems and donor management platforms; Salesforce experience preferred.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a mission-driven, fast-paced environment.
• Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred.
