What You'll Be Doing

• Conducting thorough patient evaluations, ordering necessary diagnostics, and creating individualized care plans
• Diagnosing and managing acute, chronic, or episodic conditions collaboratively or independently based on your qualifications
• Providing education to patients and families regarding preventive care, wellness, and effective disease management
• Prescribing medications and therapies within the bounds of your practice
• Engaging in patient follow-up and chronic care management
• Working alongside interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive, seamless care delivery
• Maintaining accurate and thorough patient documentation within electronic medical records (EMR)

Education Requirements

• Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)
• Graduation from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program

Required Certifications

• Current Nurse Practitioner licensure in North Carolina
• National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP or ANCC) or a comparable specialty
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (or ability to obtain within 90 days)
