About the Role

The Company is in search of a General Manager/Chief Operating Officer (GM/COO) to lead its multi-faceted, member-owned country club. The successful candidate will be a proven leader with a passion for service excellence, strong executive presence, and a track record of success in club operations. The GM/COO will be responsible for all aspects of the club's operations, including strategic planning, financial management, and ensuring the highest quality standards to enhance the member and guest experience. This role demands a confident and respected leader who can effectively communicate, support the club's vision, and manage the day-to-day work of various departments. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5-7 years' progressive leadership experience in a similar setting, a strong background in food and beverage operations, and a commitment to team development and continuous improvement. Candidates for the GM/COO position at the company should be adept at problem-solving, transparent, and dedicated to the values of the club. The role requires a leader who can inspire and motivate a team, as well as maintain the trust and confidence of members, employees, and the community. Financial acumen, including P&L responsibility and a true understanding of balance sheets and cash flow, is essential. The GM/COO will also be involved in the management of significant capital projects and must be a proactive individual with the ability to delegate and set measurable goals. A bachelor's degree in hospitality management is preferred, along with industry certifications such as CCM, CCE, or PGA. The candidate should be an organized, detail-oriented professional with a focus on high standards and attention to detail to drive member satisfaction.
