Registered Nurse - Operating Room

Location

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

AM Shift: 07:00 - 19:30, 3 × 11.5 hr shifts, totaling 35 hrs/week.

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our Operating Room team at a major academic medical center. The ideal candidate will have strong skills in trauma care and experience in various surgical specialties, including General Surgery, Urology, GYN surgery, Robotic surgeries (Davinci Xi), Plastics, Pediatric surgeries, Orthopedics, and Thoracic surgery.

Responsibilities

• Scrub and circulate in the Operating Room.
• Provide nursing care in Level-1 Adult Trauma and Pediatric Level-2 Trauma settings.
• Assist with a variety of surgical procedures across multiple specialties.
• Float to other units as needed, including the Ambulatory Surgery Unit.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• 4+ years of experience in the Operating Room preferred.
• Previous travel experience in nursing is required.
• Current BLS certification.
• Valid New York State RN Licensure.
• Trauma experience is preferred.
