Mechanical Engineer

Akkodis is seeking a Mechanical Engineer for a Contract with a client in Phoenix, AZ. The ideal candidate must have extensive Rotor Dynamics experience in mechanical design engineering, with strong proficiency in ANSYS FEA, 1D Beam modeling, and shafting structural analysis to support complex aerospace system designs.
Rate Range: $83/Hour to $95/Hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
Mechanical Engineer Job Responsibilities include:
- Lead rotor dynamics, shafting structural analyses, and mechanical design activities for complex aerospace components and systems.
- Perform finite element analysis (FEA) using ANSYS APDL/Workbench and 1D beam-based modeling techniques to validate design performance.
- Conduct design reviews, technical risk assessments, and root cause investigations to ensure product reliability and compliance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to develop innovative solutions that meet performance, safety, and certification requirements.
- Mentor and provide technical guidance to engineers while driving best practices in mechanical design and analysis.
- Support product development throughout the lifecycle, including design for manufacturability, tolerance analysis, testing, and aerospace qualification activities.
- Bachelor's or master's degree in mechanical engineering or a related technical discipline.
- 8+ years of experience in mechanical design engineering, with significant rotor dynamics and aerospace systems experience.
- Strong expertise in Rotor Dynamics, Shafting Structural Analysis, and FEA tools such as ANSYS APDL or ANSYS Workbench, including 1D beam-based modeling techniques.
- Demonstrated leadership experience managing aerospace mechanical design projects, leading design reviews, conducting risk assessments, and mentoring engineering teams.
Pay Details: $83.00 to $95.00 per hour
