Senior Business Specialist

Job Title

The ideal BA candidate:

• Advanced degree in biology, biotechnology, bioinformatics, chemistry, cheminformatics or other science discipline and/or computer science, ideally exposed to the drug discovery domain
• Excellent presentation and meeting facilitation skills
• Strong customer orientation and the ability to map customer needs to enterprise level systems and data
• Proven capabilities interacting with scientists and being customer service oriented
• Capable to collaborate with a community of research scientists to define solutions, to solve underlying need
• Ability to work independently and/or as part of a team
• Ability to handle multiple assignments while working independently and effectively under deadlines
• Good understanding and practical experience in data analysis tools to support research processes
• Professional communication and interaction with all levels of the organization
• Demonstrate respect and dignity in decisions, communications, and actions

Preferred qualifications:

• 3-5 years' in a scientific or biotech environment for design and implementation of software systems
• Experience working as Business Analyst according to IIBA BABOK
• Business Analyst training or certification from IIBA (CCBA,AAC,CBAP)
• Experience working in a matrixed product team
• Understanding of agile principles and practices (SCRUM/Kanban)
• Knowledge of the Atlassian tool suite (Jira/Confluence)
• Experience with international, multi-site software development projects
• Experience collaborating across boundaries and geographical sites
• Experience with business process modeling and tools (e.g. Adonis BPMN 2.0)
