Job Title: Housekeeper Job Description

The Housekeeper maintains a clean, safe, and orderly environment across office spaces, conference rooms, kitchen areas, restrooms, and common areas. This full-time role follows a Monday through Friday schedule from 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and involves a variety of cleaning, sanitizing, waste removal, and light maintenance tasks to support a professional and hygienic workplace.

• Clean office spaces, conference rooms, kitchen areas, restrooms, and common areas to maintain a neat and professional appearance.
• Perform a variety of cleaning activities including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and polishing on a regular basis.
• Sanitize bathrooms, kitchens, and other public areas to ensure health and hygiene standards are consistently met.
• Verify and manage the inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, ensuring all necessary materials are available.
• Replenish bathroom supplies such as soap, paper products, and other essential items to keep facilities fully stocked.
• Provide laundry services as needed, including washing, ironing, and occasionally folding linens and other textiles.
• Ensure proper care, safe use, and routine maintenance of all housekeeping equipment and fixtures.
• Dispose of trash and waste from offices and common areas, including separating recyclables where applicable.
• Follow established recycling guidelines and procedures set by the facility.
• Inspect rooms and common areas for tidiness, cleanliness, and safety, and promptly report any damages, deficits, or disturbances.
• Follow safety protocols when using chemical cleaners and equipment to prevent accidents and ensure a safe work environment.
• Identify and report maintenance or safety concerns, such as damaged fixtures or hazardous conditions.
• Handle reasonable guest or occupant requests in a courteous, service-oriented manner and provide support as needed.
• Perform additional cleaning tasks or special projects as assigned by the housekeeping supervisor or management.
• Apply basic troubleshooting and routine maintenance to floor equipment to keep it in good working order.
• Follow written and verbal instructions accurately to complete tasks according to established procedures.
• Work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining a high level of performance and productivity.
• Collaborate effectively with coworkers and other departments to support a clean, orderly, and safe facility.

• Good knowledge of cleaning and sanitation products, techniques, and methods.
• Knowledge of proper cleaning chemicals and dilution procedures to ensure safe and effective use.
• Ability to perform sweeping, mopping, dusting, polishing, and other standard housekeeping tasks.
• Attention to detail and a strong commitment to cleanliness and hygiene standards.
• Time management skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks and complete work independently.
• Physical stamina and mobility, including the ability to reach, kneel, bend, and perform repetitive physical tasks.
• Ability to identify and report maintenance or safety concerns promptly.
• Understanding of workplace safety practices, including wet-floor procedures and safe handling of cleaning chemicals.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately.
• Strong work ethic, reliability, and consistency in completing assigned duties.
• Effective communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment.
• Basic troubleshooting and routine maintenance skills for floor equipment.

• Experience in housekeeping, janitorial, custodial, or environmental services roles in office, hospital, or manufacturing facilities is beneficial.
• Familiarity with janitorial duties in high-volume or fast-paced environments.
• Comfort working with minimal supervision while maintaining quality and safety standards.
• Ability to multitask and manage workload efficiently throughout the shift.
• Guest- or occupant-oriented mindset with a focus on providing courteous service.
• Willingness to perform additional cleaning tasks or special projects as requested by management.

This role is based in a high-volume manufacturing environment that is fast-paced and operationally focused. The work involves regular physical labor, including standing, walking, reaching, bending, and kneeling throughout the shift. You use standard housekeeping and floor-care equipment, along with a variety of cleaning chemicals, following strict safety and workplace procedures such as wet-floor protocols and recycling guidelines. The facility emphasizes cleanliness, safety, and efficiency, and you may move between office areas, conference rooms, kitchen spaces, restrooms, and production-related common areas as part of your daily routine. Dress and personal protective equipment are aligned with manufacturing and housekeeping safety standards.

This is a Contract position based out of Horn Lake, MS.

The pay range for this position is $15.00 - $15.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
