About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical Center Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12-hour Night Shift Hours per Shift: 36 Experience: 2 years License: Valid RN License Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, TNCC/TNS, CPI or MOAB Must-Have: Critical care level skill set Description: This facility is a Level IV Trauma Center. It is a Primary Stroke Center and has an Accredited Chest Pain Center. An active FNE program is available with RN on-call 24/7 for these cases. The facility has a total of 74 beds, including a 21 + 6 bed annex. Patient types include all ages. Patient ratios are RN 1:4 and Tech 1:8 during both days and nights. Charge nurses have a reduced patient assignment. Hospitalists and ED MDs are in-house 24/7. A Health Unit Coordinator is available 24/7. Phlebotomy assistance is provided for peripheral blood draws. Nursing Station Telemetry monitoring is conducted without a telemetry tech. The charting system is an EMR called EPIC. IV Pumps used are Alaris, and medication dispensing is managed through Pyxis. GE Monitors are in use. There is no floating required. Scheduling includes a weekend rotation of 1 weekend per month. There are no call requirements. Holiday expectations are not applicable. Scrub color is any solid color, professional, with no graphics or logos.
