Quality InspectorThe Quality Inspector performs detailed inspections of materials, components, and finished products to ensure they meet established quality standards and engineering specifications. This role focuses on visual and dimensional inspections of aviation parts, from individual components to full assemblies, and plays a key part in maintaining product reliability and safety in a manufacturing environment.ResponsibilitiesConduct inspections of incoming materials, in-process components, final products, and first article parts to verify compliance with quality standards and engineering drawings.Measure product dimensions using precision instruments and assess functionality to confirm conformance with technical specifications.Perform visual and dimensional inspections on aviation parts, ranging from small components to complete assemblies.Compare products against engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications to identify deviations and nonconformances.Document inspection results by completing detailed reports, logs, and nonconformance records in an accurate and timely manner.Assist in corrective action investigations by providing inspection data, identifying root causes, and supporting the implementation of corrective measures.Maintain accurate records of testing procedures, inspection outcomes, and any defective products discovered during the inspection process.Calibrate measuring instruments and equipment regularly to ensure accuracy and reliability of inspection results.Work closely with production staff to identify, communicate, and resolve quality issues and deviations from established guidelines.Communicate quality concerns, findings, and potential solutions clearly to supervisors and management.Support continuous improvement efforts by providing feedback on recurring quality issues and suggesting process enhancements.Essential SkillsMinimum 3 years of experience working in a manufacturing environment.Demonstrated excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills, supported by references.At least 2 years of experience reading blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications.At least 2 years of experience using measurement devices such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges.Practical experience in quality control, quality assurance, and inspection activities.Ability to perform accurate quality checks and quality inspections on a variety of parts and assemblies.Proficiency in using calipers and other precision measuring tools for dimensional verification.Strong documentation skills for recording inspection results, nonconformances, and test procedures.Effective communication skills for collaborating with production teams and reporting quality issues.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience as a Quality Inspector or in a similar quality assurance role is preferred but not required.Knowledge of quality control standards and testing techniques is preferred but not required.Familiarity with calibration practices for measuring instruments and inspection equipment.Understanding of manufacturing processes, particularly in environments handling aviation parts or complex assemblies.Ability to interpret and apply engineering drawings and technical specifications in a production setting.Why Work Here?Employees enjoy a comprehensive benefits package that supports their health, well-being, and long-term growth.
