Schedule: Part Time as needed during school year

Reports To: Food Service Manager

FLSA Status: Non Exempt

General Description: In the absence of a full time Food Service employee, the Food Service Substitute provides food service assistance and direct services to students.

Qualifications:

• Be a born-again believer, maintaining a testimony that is above reproach.
• Be in agreement with the Lakeland Christian School Statement of Faith and staff qualifications.
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Knowledge of food preparation and sanitation procedures.
• Be able to work in a team environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Uphold and ensure compliance of all LCS policies and procedures.
• Maintain a professional appearance.
• Will perform work assigned as needed that day, duties may include: serving meals to students, assisting in Ala Carte, washing dishes, overall clean up in dining area and any other duties required by Food Service Manager.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Must possess a positive attitude and work well with others.

Physical Demands:

• Ability to kneel, crouch, squat, climb, stand, bend, lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to work in extreme temperatures.
• Ability to stand for long periods of time.
