Maintenance and Automation Night Shift Supervisor

This is an exciting opportunity to help produce injectable medications for patients with life‑altering conditions at Lilly's new Parenteral, Device Assembly, and Packaging Facility in Concord, North Carolina. Responsibilities Oversee night‑shift maintenance and automation activities, ensuring safety compliance, housekeeping, and cGMP adherence. Manage staffing, performance, and daily operations across multiple shifts. Drive maintenance excellence by ensuring high‑quality execution, training readiness, KPI performance, and alignment with production needs. Review work orders, investigate deviations, and lead incident reporting and corrective actions to support reliable 24/7 manufacturing operations. Key Deliverables Safety – Ensure compliance with safety procedures, initiate accident reviews, and maintain housekeeping standards. Quality – Ensure team compliance with cGMPs, Global Quality Standards, and local procedures. Manage People Effectively – Oversee daily maintenance operations across shifts, including attendance, overtime, performance management, development planning, and results reporting. Maintenance Excellence: Ensure quality of Maintenance Execution and RFU. Ensure team is current on training before assigning work. Track and improve Maintenance KPIs. Align team priorities with the production plan. Interface with customers to ensure alignment. Complete weekly Practice vs Procedure Checks. Review a sampling of executed Work Orders. Investigate team deviations as needed. Own incident reporting, investigation, and corrective measures. Basic Requirements High School Diploma Five years of manufacturing or maintenance experience in a leadership/supervisory role Legally authorized to work in the United States (no visa sponsorship) Previous supervisory/leadership experience required Knowledge of Parenteral or Packaging Maintenance operations or other GMP manufacturing experience Formulation, Filling, Device Assembly or Packaging knowledge Effective written and verbal communication with multiple levels Coaching and feedback skills Prioritization, goal‑setting and target attainment High‑level customer service skills Ability to work without close supervision Problem‑solving skills CMMS experience desired General understanding of PLC, HMI, and networking Understanding of electrical concepts Experience with Device Assembly and Packaging equipment Additional Skills and Preferences Support a 24/7 operation with flexibility for decision making and issue resolution Willingness to work overtime during peak periods (shutdowns, etc.) Willingness to carry a cell phone and respond to off‑hour emergencies when necessary Consideration of mobility requirements and exposure to allergens in the parenteral plant Minimal travel required Compensation and Benefits The anticipated hourly wage for this position is $40.38 – $59.23.
