To support the underwriting team, the full-time remote Underwriter will collect and assess group health application information, perform risk appraisals, and calculate rates and premiums for group health insurance. Key responsibilities Collect and clarify information from sales, account managers, and agents regarding group health applications Perform risk appraisals and evaluate group risk to determine acceptability, coverage, and pricing Calculate and negotiate rates and premium charges for group health insurance using approved formulas Required qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics, Finance, Accounting, or a related field or equivalent work experience At least 2 years of experience in Stop Loss Underwriting, Financial Underwriting, Actuarial, or Financial Management Proficiency with Excel
