Pharmacy Tech | South Portland, Maine

This position offers an opportunity to support pharmacy operations by working directly under the supervision of a Registered Pharmacist to ensure accurate and timely medication dispensing. The role is a 13-week contract with a schedule designed to provide coverage on weekdays with rotating weekends.


Location: South Portland, ME
Schedule:

• Monday through Friday, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
• Rotating weekends

Key Responsibilities:

• Fill prescriptions under the direct supervision of a Registered Pharmacist.
• Prepackage medications for dispensing according to regulatory standards.
• Assist in the final checking and packaging of medications post-pharmacist review.
• Support timely and accurate delivery of prescriptions to customers.
• Help maintain inventory management by receiving, rotating stock, and documenting lot and expiration information.
• Collaborate with the Technician Supervisor to ensure a clean, safe, and compliant work environment, including equipment checks.

Qualifications:

• Valid Pharmacy Technician license for the state of Maine (ME license in-hand).
• Experience working under the supervision of a pharmacist is preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and adherence to safety and regulatory guidelines.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment with rotating weekend shifts.

Note: This is a fulfillment technician role; IV preparation is not part of the duties.
