This position will work closely with our QA team on incoming inspections, FAIs, and nonconforming material handling to drive continuous improvement with our supply chain. Responsible for working as part of the Quality team to maintain our compliance to ISO9001:2015/AS9100/AS1300 and internal company Standard Operating Procedures.Responsibilities:Actively participates in root cause analysis on failuresTrack internal responses to deliverable milestones, evaluate customer response, provide feedback to customers, and ensure closure of Corrective Actions.Collect, organizes, monitors, and distributes information related to product quality and process improvement functionsEnsure that procedures and work instructions are documented according to corporate and ISO standardsEvaluating programs to support PFMEA and Control plan to confirm that key characteristics and in process controls are well defined and effectiveAdvocate for assuring products is designed for manufacturingClear definition of product quality requirementsIdentification of key dimensional characteristics for FAI approvalProvide recommendations for specification(s) revision as determined by dataImprove and engage in the First Article Inspection process (FAI) to support product revisions and new product launchPerform and report internal manufacturing auditsDevelop continuous improvement plans to drive improved PPM scoresProvide quality performance input to support the GSP quality performance scorecardReview and submit deviation requests to customersRequirementsRelationships and Roles:Maintains positive relationships with various departments in multiple facilities.Maintains superior customer service to both our internal and external customers.Required Experience/Skills/Abilities:Bachelor's Degree in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering preferred or relative experience in manufacturing or aerospace mechanical engineering fieldMinimum of 5-10 years of experience in a Manufacturing or Quality Engineering role, with at least 3 years in the Aerospace/Aviation industry.Strong knowledge of relevant software, quality assurance methods, tools and quality manufacturing processesMath skillsCommunication skillsKnowledge of the organization's productAttention to detailAnalysis, critical thinking and problem-solving skillsInterpersonal skillsAbility to handle stressWe are looking for people who are highly motivated with the ability to work in a fast paced environment.
