Transportation Construction Inspector

Responsibilities Verification of all work performed in accordance with plans and contractual specifications Measurement and verification of quantities, dimensions, and specifications Act as a liaison between VDOT and the prime contractor Qualifications 3+ years of transportation construction experience, ideally within the State of Virginia Valid driver’s license; availability for night work, overtime and/or weekends as needed; ability to work independently and in a team; subject to background check Experience with paving, roadway and bridge construction inspection and records keeping preferred Certifications are preferred; class enrollment for certifications will be arranged for candidates with applicable construction inspection experience Benefits Tiered medical coverage Dental/Vision 401(k) with 6% company match Short- and long-term disability College savings plan Life insurance Paid time off Holidays Training/Certifications We may use artificial intelligence (AI) tools to support parts of the hiring process, such as reviewing applications, analyzing resumes, or assessing responses.
